2024 Annual Report

Well what a journey 2024 has been for GridPlay Productions
We got things ready behind the scenes for afew planned ideas.
1. Multi grid support coming in 2025
2. Re-registering the name as a legit Limited Corporation in Canada.

Remember i had ADD so all below is not in order and probably scattered brain mess.
Also dealing with rl and business interruption's as well while doing this report.

So 2024 took a different path then expected but it turned out good for the company.
We started to move from a all-in-one website to having each product/service have its own website.
Did this for many reasons, one of them is for future development and growth. Couldn't really grow a service while tied in with others.
With the introduction of 2 cool services, GPaONE and GridPay 4, we are able to expand while integrating these two services into our network.
GPaONE is our new centralized login account system. One password for all of GridPlay. Kind of like using your Microsoft for Hotmail, OneDrive and Minecraft.
GridPay 4 was majorly overhauled and upgraded to be a centralized peer to peer currency system for roleplay purposes ONLY! NO L$ VALUE AT ALL!

With these two we were able to integrate them with other services like the new GridHaul 3 where players use their GridPay to buy items to haul.
This also lets players play GridHaul and spend their P$ on things like parking meters in a P$ supported rp town.
Ventalkie 4 now lets you spend P$ on making channels for you and your friends.
More use for GridPay 4 is coming in 2025 including a stock exchange website.
OH we also have switched most of our sites (excluding RTCSL) over to use Tailwind and Flowbite CSS frameworks.
We started our own OpenSimulator powered grid called the Canadian Grid and just rolled out tests grid wide on the webRTC support for voice chat.
We got plans to roll... let me explain below as point number 4 for 2025.
Yes we lost our wiki due to security and out-dated/discontinued code from MediaWiki, WikiJS was just not working for us, was to limited. See number 5 for 2025.
Dont worry i backed up all data from the wiki.
We also switch our support portal to use Tawk.to for now. See number 6 for 2025 below.

So what is in store for 2025? If it goes to plan this time.
(well some of 2024's plan did happen to be fair)
On top of the usual bug fixes here's my plan for new features and improvements
1. GPX - GridPay's own stock exchange where companies can use their P$ to make a IPO (Initial Public Offering) and sell/buy stocks for their company in P$
2. I really want to revamp the RTCSL website and make it popular again, sorry for the lack of development for it this past year.
3. Debbie and I do want to register the GridPlay Productions name as a LTD (Canadian version of LCC) so hopefully that will happen
4. With so much backend work to support multiple grids we will be rolling out Ventalkie, GridHaul and GridPay to the Canadian Grid in 2025 just to start.
Other services will soon follow probably in 2026.
We also got plans to roll out afew products to the Kitely marketplace.
5. New in house custom built wiki system so we are not dependent on premade wiki systems.
6. We plan to look into a better support portal in 2025 that WILL allow us to use GPaONE for our customers that DONT need a email address from them.
If it comes down to it ill rebuild our own support portal.
7. Still want to make our own MMORPG vampires vs lycans, just been having issues with finding the right game engine for it.

Revenue report for 2024 for investors
Because of GridPlay's revamp we only saw very small revenue within SecondLife only from sales and SLDA rentals.
Hopefully this will change in 2025 with some new ideas.
1. Selling of private regions on the Canadian Grid at a rate of just $25 CAD per month
2. Selling of premium and premium plus services ($6 and $12 CAD per month)
3. Going to bring back website design/programming and hosting.
4. Offering scripting service for SecondLife and Opensim.
5. Converting some current SL services/products to support opensim and sell them on the Kitely Opensim marketplace for USD.
Kitely MP is for OpenSim grids that either has Hypergrid enabled or has support for kitely. Products bought on Kitely are sent via the hypergrid protocol.
Hypergrid lets residents from one grid travel to another without relogging.
6. With GridPay 4's revamp, will sell its P$ currency for that grid's official currency like P$ for L$ in SL.
This will be a 1 to 1 exchange to make it less confusing for customers. L$1 for P$1.
7. Our MMORPG will be free to play and probably sell in game cosmetic stuff and maybe clickable ads on billboards.

If revenue ends up being more then our overhead we would like to invest some of it to get another server for the Canadian Grid to bring up more regions.
Right now we run 1 dedicated server from OVH but have it setup in a VPS config using Proxmox.
Meaning we have 3 mini servers on 1 big one. Out of 32GB of Ram we are using the following for the smaller ones.
websites - 2GB of ram this also includes our discord bot
Canadian Grid - 20GB of ram for logins, assets and 20 regions.
Mailcow - 6GB which is the min mailcow needs, this is so Canadian Grid can send confirmation emails for new sign ups ONLY!
We are also using Mailcow for business and support emails using Thunderbird as the email client.

So that is basically it for our annual review/report.
The overall plan here is to start supporting more virtual worlds and games than just SecondLife.

Merry Christmas, Happy Channaka, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy whatever you celebrate this month, just be sure your safe and happy.
From Ven and Debbie.

P.S. MMORPG info
Eclipse of Eternity is the name, ty ChatGPT.
Loosely based AFTER the Underworld and Blade triligies.
Set on newly discovered islands in the pacific ocean.
The back story is that the mortals are so fed up with the war between vampires and lycans they rounded them up and exiled them to these new islands to wage their war there.
Sadly some mortals didn't get the memo and have started expeditions on the islands.
Planned features:
PvP - Player vs Player battlegrounds like in World of Warcraft.
PvE - Player vs Environment like WoW. Kill npc's for quests. (Non-Player Character)
PvPvE - Like wow again. Vampires kill lycans while trying to get to the lycan npc boss and vis versa.
Player Housing - Everyone needs some rest from questing so why not chill in your own home. Will be community based like in Aion and maybe instanced like in LotRo.
i.e. Vampires will get their own island community and lycans get theirs
Not to sure what the diff will be between the two just yet as far as special abilities but there will be guns, lots of guns (matrix reference)

Anyways thanks -ven
