The Mass Integration Plan

While I work on this plan I like to take a breif moment to explain the plan publicly

Since GridPlay's formation in SL in 2017 I have created alot of products and services including websites to go with the inworld stuff.
Few years ago I merged all of them into 1 website currently at sl.gridplay.net
Well recently I realized having all stuff I made and want to make in 1 Laravel powered website just was not working out much any more.
Felt confined development wise.
At the same time Laravel released version 11 which came with alot of bug fixes and improvements. At first I thought it also came with alot of removal of code that I was use to depend on but later after testings realize the “nerfs” were good for me. SO began a upgrade to all my sites. This was when I realized that having all my products and services on their own websites would be better.
Therefor began the Mass Integration Plan dubbed GridPlay 4.

SO! Whats the plan?
Put all current products to their own installation of Laravel php framework and write code so other products can use some features of that product.
Example: Ventalkie 4 now charges P$25 to claim a channel. P$ is GridPay 4's P Dollars.
Another example in the works is that PlayLife will use GridVend drop boxes.
Sadly this means that sl.gridplay.net website will be deleted come June 5 2024 and all products/services using that domain will stop working

While I was looking more into this plan I also saw that gpa.one domain was dirt cheap and it gave me the idea of 1 centeralized account system similar to battle.net for World of Warcraft and other Blizzard games.
So i bought the domain, did a fresh install of Laravel 11 and their Passport 12 package and began coding a one account system. So huge thanks to Laravel, Passport and Socialite devs.

GPaONE is currently only available to SecondLife residents since GridPlay is mostly for SL but we do have plans to allow Discord sign ups, this will come in handy for our games section soon.
Yes I am also working on 2 pc games about vampires and lycans using the Unity 3d game engine.
Why not Unreal?
UE5 has changed alot and their new terrain system alone confuses me, blueprints and c++ scripting also confuses me.
I been using Unity for years and learned csharp from that engine so its more familar to me

With the release of GridPay 4 and Ventalkie 4 next product to get its own website is WMPS (WebMap Position System) but this means bringing back map.gridplay.net but this time on its own Laravel installation.
As for the Laravel package i made public for all the API's i wrote, it will be updated soon to point to api.gridplay.net, that site will handle all the api requests and will require a special secret key to use.
Since i wrote the package I noticed all my inworld servers were being DDoS attacked via the open API so even though the attacks stopped with the introduction of SL legacy name check I decided to redo that to be a GPaONE api key instead to reduce the abuse some more.

So what about all the stuff on the sl.gridplay.net website?
As I do the mass integration all services on that site will get its own website and their inworld scripts updated to their next major version.
I like to get rid of sl.gridplay.net website by June 5 2024. So in 1 month I got to get this done.
Once all done and working and everyone upgraded I will then focus back to gridplay.support and look into gridplay.forums
Love how theres new dot domain endings like .fun, .wiki, .support etc. and cost very little for the first year to get em.

As for real life funds into the company.
Well I'm not really to sure yet. Since the release of GridPay 4 which is our centeralized fake virtual currency system (that has no real world or linden dollar value) I been wanting to use that for microtransactions in our other games but still rethinking that. For now GridPlay Productions has no way to make real world money. But that may change in the coming months.

Anyways thats the plan for now sorry for the long read.
Ill post more on this plan soon as more ideas roll.
Oh BTW please keep watching this site for more GridPlay related news.
